About This Project

Client: Virginia Department of Health, Office of Human Resources

Audience: Supervisors

Challenge

Supervisors evaluate their employees’ performance once a year. If they don’t meet with their employees regularly and take notes on their performance, they are likely to unknowingly be influenced by cognitive biases that might result in unfair and inaccurate performance evaluations. Many supervisors rely too heavily on the employee’s self-evaluation.

Solution

A short, interactive course to teach supervisors about cognitive biases, best practices for documenting performance, and how to summarize performance on evaluations.
